KM# 305 Dates 2000 Notes 50 State Quarter (Massachusetts)


In the center is a profile of George Washington facing left. He is wear a parliamentary wig tied with a bow at the back. Above him is written "LIBERTY" and below him is written "QUARTER DOLLAR". Below his chin to the left is written "LIBERTY", and to the right of him, starting level with his earlobe, is written in small lettering "IN GOD WE TRUST", with IN and TRUST on their own separate lines. Below this, level with Washington's bow, is the mint mark, either a D, a P or an S.


A Massachusetts military minute man in three-quarter profile facing right, wearing a cloth cap and buttoned-down shirt with sleeves rolled up to the elbows,rifle in hand, and a sack tied closed with string behind him.Behind him is a silhouette of Massachusetts (unlike the other states the outline is filled in), and next to this in the left is written "THE BAY STATE".Around the top of the coin is written "MASSACHUSETTS" and below it is written "1788". At the bottom of the coin is written in small lettering "E PLURIBUS UNUM", all on one line, and above it is written "2000).
