At the top is written “MAGYAR KIRÁLYSÁG” (meaning “Kingdom of Hungary”) and at the bottom is written the year. Just inside the rim of the coin is a tiny scalloped pattern.
A large “1” underneath which is written “ PENGŐ”. In smaller lettering below is written BP. This is surrounded by a wreath which at the bottom is oak made of oak branches but which transitions to a crocus plant about halfway up. Just inside the rim of the coin is a tiny scalloped pattern.
