A guinea pig is a small domesticated animal that has a soft and fluffy coat that can come in any color possible. Guinea pigs have rounded bodies but they are relatively small – they are 1200 g (2.5 lb) heavy and around 25 cm (10 in) long. The heads are big with stout necks and they have no tails. The feet are tiny with small claws. The eyes are large and rounded. Each individual possesses its unique color and pattern of the coat. That is the same for fur – some of them are long and silky, while the others are short and bristle. The ears can also be smaller or floppy.
