A jaguar is a big and muscular wild cat that is very similar to the leopard, but it is much larger and broader. Additionally, the jaguar has larger rosette-like patterns with spots in the middle on its dark yellow coat, while the leopard has simpler patterns with no spots in the middle. However, both jaguars and leopards can have their black variants called panthers. The jaguars are also known for their broad skulls and powerful teeth. They can weigh up to 158 kg (348 lb). The ears are small and rounded while the paws are sturdy with long claws. The color of their coat is usually lighter on the belly and the undersides. Their snouts are short with white markings on it and long, white whiskers.
