A zebra is a wild animal that looks like a horse. Even though a zebra’s physique is almost the same as the one of a horse or mule, what makes zebras really stand out is the color of their coats. A zebra’s coat consists of black and white stripes which are unique to every individual. You can imagine a zebra as a black horse with hooves that has a coat covered with white stripes of unequal width. These stripes are white and vertical lines at the front part of the body, while they are horizontal at the rear. Zebras’ ears are big and round while their noses, mouths and tails are black. The manes are striped with black ends, spiky and long.
